For 23 years Dwain has survived being "in the trenches" of the construction industry, as a owner, manager and employee with tools on. He created and evolved a risk management program for the largest privately held construction company on the West Coast (Nationally ranked number 7 in multi-family construction) Where his primary focus was on the prevention of litigation through quality control and documentation, the recognition and correction of "at risk" areas. During this tenure he developed, refined protocol, and provided oversight of homeowner/ HOA transition, along with owner care and warrantee operations, for over 3,000 new units, over 270 buildings at 15 projects, with a value of exceeding $300 million. Working closely with corporate and insurance companies legal counsel to put in place and successfully implement aggressive defense strategies for construction defect claims, he is attaining unheard results in the arena of S6800 and Chapter 40 litigation. Through this program Dwain witnesses a drop in construction defect litigation repair exposure from the industry average of $16,000 per unit to less than $2,500.
